This small business curriculum was developed by assembling an experienced team—all members are involved in microenterprise training through various groups. The goal of this course is to explore the ability to achieve self-sufficiency through self-employment. This 15–session course can be taught in a variety of configurations to achieve the objectives of the training organization.
Course instructors guide participants through the process of analyzing their business readiness and researching their business idea. Participants learn basic marketing and financial skills, all taught through a friendly hands-on format. Each session includes Instructor led discussions, Guest Speakers, Networking breaks and one-on-one time with the instructor to focus on the business. Most sessions last 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
